What should I have ready when I call?
A quick rundown of which fixtures are slow, gurgling or overflowing, roughly when it started, and whether anything unusual went down the drain. That helps the plumber arrive with the right gear and keeps the visit short.
How do I know if I need a camera inspection before a quote?
If a drain has blocked more than once, or the cause is not obvious from the surface, a camera inspection is worth doing first. Footage shows whether the pipe is cracked, sagging or root-filled, which shapes the price we quote.
Can I pay by card on the day?
Yes. We take card and EFTPOS payments on the day the work is finished, so there is nothing to arrange beforehand and no invoice to chase up later.

My toilet and shower both run slow. Which service is that?
When two fixtures slow down together, the choke usually sits in a shared line rather than the fixtures themselves. We trace which pipe both drain through, clear it, and check the line afterwards to confirm the cause is gone.
Do you work on stormwater pits and downpipes as well?
Yes. Yard gullies, stormwater pits and the roofwater lines feeding them are all part of the service. That matters here, because summer storms between November and March dump runoff into yard drains in a very short window.
What happens if the blockage is in the street main?
Pipes inside your boundary are yours to maintain, but a stoppage in the main that Urban Utilities runs is their responsibility. If the camera shows the fault sits beyond your property, we point you to the right authority.

A few pre-1947 houses cluster around Landsboro and Queenstown Avenues, and their era of plumbing predates PVC. Older earthenware lines have joints that shifting ground works apart, so paper and roots catch there far more easily.
Does the rain here make a difference to when drains block?

Are low-lying blocks near the wetlands harder to work on?
